In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus does not openly explain who he is. Again and again, he heals people, silences spirits, and even cautions his disciples not to spread the word. Unlike John’s Gospel, where Jesus clearly names himself and his mission, Mark presents Jesus more quietly and gradually. Throughout this series, we will look at moments where Jesus’ identity comes into view a little at a time. Each story adds another piece, helping us see who Jesus is, how people understood him, and why his true identity only becomes clear through his death and resurrection.
